How Long Does Xanax Stay in Your System

I have had many e-mails asking me "how long does xanax stay in your system?"  The answer is very simple.  You can find more information on my main benzo website - http://www.klonopinwithdrawal.com

Let's say you took two mgs of Xanax.  Within about ten hours, since Xanax leaves your body very quickly, one mg will be left.  Another ten hours and you have .5 mg of Xanax within your body...and so on and so forth.  Xanax acts very quickly but exits the body quickly as well.  This forces the user to take another dose before his next real dose is due, causing him/her to become dependent upon Xanax.  That is why many people get addicted to Xanax.

There are many people that mix Xanax with alcohol or other drugs.  This is very dangerous.  I remembered when Anna Nichole Smith mixed Xanax with alcohol and overdosed that way.  You saw where that led her later on in her life when she permanently overdosed.  Exit stage...

This has been known to be a party drug that would actually get a person high within five minutes.  I always advised people that were on this crap to switch to Klonopin which is a sister drug of Xanax, but a lot more stabler.  From there, they can taper off the medication very slowly.

If you are a person who is thinking about taking Xanax - only do it if you have a speech to give or perhaps a death in the family.  These drugs were never meant to take it long term, unfortunately, doctors hand Xanax out like candy for a long period of time for every patient, not really knowing that they are feeding an addiction, not helping them out.
